If I ever need a fab new outfit for an event (or hell, for a Tuesday), I stop in Hailee Grace Boutique on Larimer Square here in Denver. Not only do they have the cutest, most on-trend pieces at super affordable prices, but Hailee and Grace are absolute dolls. I have been shopping there for a couple years now, and the store never disappoints. Their merchandise is constantly changing, so you know you're going to find something cool and different every time you go in, from apparel down to accessories. H&G let me play dress up in their store and this was the outfit we picked out. I knew I wanted something springy yet transitional, as it's definitely not summer yet. This black Lush dress is light and airy; it can be worn on its own or topped with a long cardigan like I chose here, a denim jacket like this cutie, a moto jacket like this or bomber jacket like this for an edgy look, or a flannel shirt like this tied around the waist (hello festival season!) Shoe options are endless with this dress too - from heels to booties and everything in between. (I've linked to a lot of items via Shopbop because they are having their annual Friends & Family sale until the end of the day today! Use code INTHEFAM for 25% off sitewide!)

Transitioning from winter to spring can be annoying when it comes to clothing. I, for one, have not put away my winter clothes yet because we are known to get some cold and wet weather in the next couple of months. But it's high time to start pulling out your little summer dresses because you can always warm them up with sweaters, hats and booties! Go bare arms for some warm rooftop happy hour action, then cover up when the sun dips.

Hope you're all having a wonderful week. We've had lots of birthdays to celebrate and lots of fun things going on, but I'm looking forward to a mellow weekend. College basketball has come to an end (sadly, Chris's Tarheels lost in the championship), so now we can start planning some hikes with the pup and more activities outdoors. Let me know what kind of fashion, beauty or fitness post you'd like to see next.

squeeze,
m.
