Cabin Fever

Carly knows of this abandoned little cabin outside of Evergreen. It makes the perfect backdrop for photos, but it's a touch creepy. She kept telling me to warn her if anyone was looking at her through the window... Luckily, it was just us. I think. This wintry little get-up features my favorite coat at the moment. Its oversized shape is almost menswear-esque, and it has dropped shoulders, so it's incredibly easy to layer. You can wear your bulkiest of sweaters and this coat will fit over them like a dream. Also, whoever said brown and black don't go together was seriously delusional. It is one of my favorite color combinations.

About the fur muff... before I have PETA down my throat, I would just like to say that this is the only real fur piece I own (and will ever own), and it was an heirloom passed down from my grandmother. It comes from an actual fur coat that my mom had cut up and made into muffs for herself and me. This piece is really special to me, and it's actually incredibly practical. Within five seconds, my hands are nice and toasty.

I think this is when Carly told me to watch for someone looking at her through the window.

This delighted us.
